Probable as starter
RBIowa State
August 23, 2019
While there has not been an official announcement stating Lang to be the No. 1 guy, he is expected to get the nod as the starter, Tommy Birch of The Des Moines Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Lang has not been prominently featured in the offense during his tenure as a Cyclone, but with David Montgomery moving on to bigger things in the NFL, the competition in the backfield has been left wide open and it appears Lang is the front-runner to nab the starting job. The redshirt sophomore has racked up 26 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown in 11 games as a supporting role for the Cyclones thus far.
