ANALYSIS
After Tre Harbison transferred to Charlotte in the offseason, Nettles looked to be a prime candidate to take over as the Huskies' lead back. By electing to sit out, the redshirt junior will retain two years of eligibility when he returns to action in 2021. Rondarius Gregory is now the leading candidate to serve as Northern Illinois' top back when the team opens its season Nov. 4 versus Buffalo.
