Sticking around as starter
QBTexas State
September 11, 2019
Jensen will make a second consecutive start Saturday at SMU, Keff Ciardello of the Austin American-Statesman reports.
ANALYSIS
After completing 20 of 31 passes for 160 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in relief of the struggling Tyler Vitt in Texas State's Week 1 loss to Texas A&M, Jensen was awarded the start last weekend versus Wyoming. Though the Bobcats dropped their second straight contest, Jensen kept Texas State competitive in the 23-14 loss, completing 33 of 54 attempts for 394 yards, a touchdown and two picks. While turnovers remain an issue for Jensen, the coaching staff feels that the signal-caller has done enough to retain the top spot on the depth chart for at least one more game.
