ANALYSIS
Thomas returned to the Memphis program in the spring after opting out of the 2020 season due to personal reasons but made it known Thursday that he would be entering the transfer portal. The team had tried moving him from safety to cornerback and he was reportedly adjusting to the new position well after starting all 14 games for the Tigers as a safety. Over three seasons, Thomas appeared in 30 games and recorded 80 tackles, seven pass breakups, two interceptions and a touchdown. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
