Koch (rib) placed his name in the transfer portal Wednesday and is expected to leave UMass, Rivals.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As a true freshman in 2020, the quarterback appeared in three games for the Minutemen, making two starts. He completed 60 percent of his throws for 4.2 yards per attempt and a 1:1 TD:INT while adding 62 yards on the ground before he sustained a season-ending rib injury Week 12 versus Florida Atlantic. The signal-caller is likely fully healthy at this point, but he'll apparently look to continue his career elsewhere. Koch will have a full four years of eligibility to use at his next program.
