A Washington spokesperson confirmed in January that Yary was no longer a member of the program, Mike Vorel of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
One of the top tight end recruits in the 2020 cycle, the 6-foot-6-, 250-pound Yary flipped his commitment to Washington last summer after initially signing with USC. Once preseason practices arrived, however, Yary wasn't a participant, and he was never spotted on the sideline during the 2020 campaign before Washington acknowledged over the winter that he was no longer a member of the program. Yary was later arrested in California on Jan. 19 on charges of felony battery with serious injury and misdemeanor possession of narcotics. The tight end's legal issues could mean that his college career is over before it even began.
