Declares for NFL Draft
Rey announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter page that he is declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Rey enjoyed tons of success at Florida A&M before deciding to transfer to Georgia Tech this past summer. His combined stats in 2018 and 2019 included 61 receptions for 560 yards and six touchdowns. Rey opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns and then came to the Yellow Jackets wanting to explore his opportunities elsewhere. The redshirt senior's aspirations may have guided him in the wrong direction as he saw most of his usage as a return man and did not have a single catch. Rey's best shot at potentially making a career for himself in the NFL would likely be as a special teams contributor.
