Coe, considered the top-rated signee at running back for the Iowa Hawkeyes' recruiting class of 2011, has failed to qualify academically for entrance to the university, and will instead spend the next two years at Iowa Western Community College, HawkCentral.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Iowa Western head coach Scott Strohmeier says Coe intends to eventually join the Hawkeyes, but, for now, sees Coe's joining his team as "an opportunity" for the 6-3, 230-pound tailback from Edwardsville, Illinois to see if "he can't work himself back."
