Bruce scored 53 off 46 balls with the help of three fours for New Zealand in a four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the second of three-match T20I series in Pallekele on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old scored the second half-century of his T20I career and it all came in a way while chasing a total of 162 moreover, after the fall of quick three wickets Bruce along with Colin de Grandhomme bought Blackcap's innings back on track where the duo added 109 runs partnership for the fourth wicket which helped New Zealand to seal the series. Furthermore, he is expected to continue his form to sweep the series in the third T20I match on September 06, 2019 at the same venue.
