Szczechura has signed to play in the Czech Republic, according to The Buffalo News.

ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old had a bit of success in some brief time with the Sabres last season, but this is an organization with a lot of good prospects, and as the season wore on, others stepped ahead of him when call-ups were needed. Given Szczechura's success at the AHL level -- 21 goals in 57 games last season -- we wouldn't be surprised to see him do well overseas, and this may not be the last we've heard from him.

Scrabble's versatility could earn him a job on the Bolts' bottom lines. Or it could see him sent to the A to provide leadership and scoring to a developing squad. Either way, his fantasy value is minimal this season.

Szczechura is a responsible, boy-next-door type with decent speed and reasonable hands. He's in tough at center ice but if he can switch to wing, he could contribute. It just won't be at levels needed by fantasy owners.
