ANALYSIS
Cundari went undrafted but played extensively below the NHL level starting in 2005-06. His big break came in 2012-13, when he made his NHL debut with the Flames, though he would only end up appearing in eight games total with the parent club between 2012-14. Cundari eventually was waived by the Flames, only to get included in the Sharks' organization this past season, recording three goals, five assists and 29 PIM in 34 games with AHL Barracuda.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2013
Cundari failed to break into the box score in four games with the Flames last season, but did have 10 points in 32 games in AHL Abbotsford. While the top six spots on the Flames' blue line are likely taken, Cundari is shooting for that seventh spot and a home in Calgary.
Cundari had about as good a start to his NHL career as could be expected, with three points in his first four games. He was the centerpiece of the Jay Bouwmeester trade, so the Flames certainly hope he can put up solid numbers as his career goes on. He will spend some time in the AHL to start the year, but will be one of the first called up in case of injury. But temper your expectations from a fantasy perspective -- the NHL is a difficult place for young defenders to excel and there will be some growing pains.
