Unlikely to return to Beantown
Lagace is not expected to be re-signed by the Bruins this offseason, per Matt Porter of The Boston Globe.
ANALYSIS
Lagace went 22-7-3 with a .919 save percentage and five shutouts in 33 appearances for AHL Providence this year but wasn't able to break into the Bruins' roster. With both Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak under contract next year, there doesn't figure to be any room on the 23-man roster for Lagace or any of the other Boston netminding prospects.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2018
Lagace joined the Penguins on a two-way contract in the offseason, and that will likely lead to the 27-year-old netminder earning a spot on the taxi squad. Tristan Jarry and Casey DeSmith appear set to handle the goaltending duties for the parent club. Lagace has 17 games of NHL experience in the Golden Knights' organization and most recently produced a 2.37 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 33 contests with AHL Providence. It would take an injury to one of the Penguins' top-two goalies for Lagace to see NHL ice in 2020-21.
