call it a career following 12 seasons playing professional hockey.
ANALYSIS
Rome played the bulk of his career in the AHL -- he posted 78 points in 294 games -- but also saw action in the ECHL and DEL, logging 625 professional contests. The winger was drafted twice -- in 2004 by Boston and 2006 by San Jose -- but never was able to make his NHL debut.
