Perezhogin may have signed to play with Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the Russian Super League, according to reports out of Europe.
ANALYSIS
We don't know how long the term of the contract might be or whether there is an escape clause that would let him back to the NHL should he choose. He was on a one-year deal with the Habs and simply hadn't exploded offensively as he was expected to do. More as it becomes available.

Not in Montreal organization any longer. Played for Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League last season.
Perezhogin now plays in Russia but the Habs retain his NHL rights.
Perezhogin remains a work in progress. The good news is that he wil be given every opportunity to continue his development while playing left wing on the third line with Mike Johnson and, at least to start the season, Radek Bonk. A better center wouldn't hurt the kid but he may just have to make do for now on that front.
Perezhogin is coming off a one-year North American ban, but could make the team and excel if given the chance. His skills have never been questioned, it’s his head that has. The young Russian can be explosive, he just has to prove he can play the NHL game first.
