Lambert was signed to a three-year deal on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Lambert, 20, ranked 10th in scoring last season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with 42 goals and 42 assists in 67 games. "Michael Lambert enjoyed a very good season at the junior level and showed very good skills," Canadiens general manager Bob Gainey said. "We are happy to have him among our group of prospects, and we look forward to monitor his development in the years to come."
