Guite had the best year of his career in 2007/2008, which was a whopping 11 goals and 22 points. Last season, he scored 12 points in 50 games. He's 31 now, so he's not exactly developing as a player. Guite will provide some grit to the Predators, but no points.
Guite will return to his customary role as 4th line center for the Avs this season. He is an energy player and will be counted on to kill penalties and shut down opposing teams' forward lines. A valuable part of the Avs' roster but no real fantasy value.
Guite will be a reserve forward for the Avs in 2007-08.
Guite had a career year for Providence of the AHL in 2005-06. He registered 53 points (22 goals and 31 assists) in 73 games played. Still, at age 28, he's a marginal prospect at best.
