The Canadiens signed Beauregard to a minor league contract on Thursday.

ANALYSIS
He played last season in the QMJHL, where he lit up opposing goaltenders for 71 goals (leading the league) and 124 points. He probably is no threat at all to anyone on the Canadiens' roster right now, but with a couple of years of seasoning, he might be able to make a splash. He's trictly a lottery ticket at this point, with a long-term payout at best.
