Lucia is best known at the University of Minnesota, where he played four seasons (2006-10) under the tutelage of his father, Don Lucia. The Sharks signed him to an entry-level contract in March of 2010, but he’s appeared in just six games over the past two seasons with AHL Worcester. Suffice it to say, the gritty forward has a long ways to go before he can make noise in the NHL.
Lucia spent the majority of the 2009-10 season skating with the University of Minnesota, and he did see four games in the AHL. Given the Sharks depth at the forward position, it would be surprising to see Lucia anywhere but the minors this season.
