Shalunov signed a two-year contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg of the KHL on Monday, ESPN's Corey Pronman reports.

ANALYSIS
Shanulov, the Blackhawks' fourth-round selection in 2011, played part of the 2013-14 season at the AHL level, but struggled to adapt, totaling four points in 20 games. Only 21 years old, Shanulov has time to reemerge as a viable piece for the future for the Blackhawks, who will carefully monitor his progress overseas the next two seasons.
