Might be on Islanders' radar
Krebs might be a good fit for the Islanders if they're able to acquire him, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Rather than a rental, Krebs could be with the Islanders for a while if they can pry him from Buffalo. The 23-year-old has three goals, nine points, 48 PIM, 43 hits and 20 blocks in 47 contests while averaging 12:37 of ice time this season. The Islanders' bottom-six corps is aging, especially with regard to Matt Martin, 34, and Cal Clutterbuck, 36, so Krebs would inject some much-needed youth into that group. He can also help kill penalties and chip in occasionally offensively. However, the Sabres might not be motivated to move the young forward unless they receive an offer they really like.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
The No. 17 overall pick of the Golden Knights in 2019, Krebs was traded to Buffalo in early November as part of the Jack Eichel deal. He was a regular in the Buffalo lineup late in the season, ultimately finishing with seven goals and 22 points in 57 games between the two teams. Ten of Krebs' points came with the man advantage, so it will be interesting to see if he can continue to produce at such a high rate in that department. Krebs won't turn 22 years old until late January and remains a far more intriguing dynasty/keeper stash than redraft fantasy target.
