Sigalet provides the B's with organizational depth at goalie, but it would be a shocker if he plays for the big club this season.
Sigalet was assigned by the Bruins to their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, in September. Unless the big club is in desperate need of callups this season, don't count on him spending any time at the NHL level for at least one more year.
Sigalet is truly an inspiration who broke with hockey's tradition of silence in 2004-05 to reveal he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Sigalet's MS is very well regluated with medication; he simply needs to take cautious care of himself to make sure he doesn't get rundown. He's a talented netminder stuck in a system of young superstars, so it will be hard to break through. He's back at Providence this season after toiling there all last season.
