Gilmour has yet to appear in a game this season.
ANALYSIS
Gilmour was a free-agent signee in the summer, but he's been a healthy scratch during each of Buffalo's seven contests. The Sabres are deep on defense, so don't expect much playing time for Gilmour this season.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Gilmour will fight for a spot on the Rangers' blue line in camp after posting five points and a minus-11 rating in 28 games as a rookie last season. Originally a seventh-round pick of the Flames in 2013, the 25-year-old blueliner flashed some offensive skills in the AHL with 26 points in 44 games prior to being called up and 25 points in 76 games the previous season. Gilmour posted a minus-54 rating over those two AHL campaigns, though, and his poor defensive-zone play will make earning consistent playing time in New York an uphill battle.
