This player will have no fantasy value in 2013-14 and can be ignored in all formats.
Klepis has not played in the NHL since he played in 66 games during 2005-2007 with the Capitals. Since then he went overseas and has played in the KHL the last three years. He was a top 20 pick in the 2002 entry draft, but things just never panned out in North America.
Klepis played in 66 games over 2005-2007 with the Capitals, but then has become somewhat of a mystery. He went overseas and is still considered a work in progress at 26.
Given the chance to break out in the 2006-07 season, including significant time on the second line, Klepis fizzled out, scoring only 10 points in 41 games and being demoted mid-season due to poor defensive play. Klepis did put up more than a point per game at AHL Hershey, but the 23-year-old is running out of chances to prove he can be a top-line forward in the NHL.
Despite putting up 31 points in 54 AHL games in 2005-06, Klepis was awful in the NHL, finishing with a minus-11 rating in limited time in 25 contests. He did see more game action than many Capitals' prospects, but he's likely to only see fourth line time if he makes the team out of training camp this season.
Klepis made the most of his time last season with AHL Portland, tallying 13 goals and 14 assists in 78 games. The 21-year-old will probably be given some more seasoning and a larger role in the minors before he will be considered for the NHL in a year or two.
