ANALYSIS
After a brief run in the AHL, the Edmonton native and 2007 first-round pick moved his game to Europe in 2012-13. While he's had some success in Austria this season, it's unlikely he will return to the NHL anytime soon.

With 18 points in 35 games in Portland last year, Ross showed some offensive skill from the blue line that he hadn't displayed since his WHL days. But the Coyotes' blue line will remain difficult to infilitrate barring injuries and Ross is likely destined for another season in Portland.
Ross split time between the ECHL and AHL last season. In 29 games with AHL San Antonio, the 2007 first-round pick notched six assists, 16 PIMs, and a plus-6 rating. In 2010's training camp, Ross expressed his frustration at not having been able to stick with the big club, but with his limited production in the minors, it's unlikely that he hangs around an NHL roster as anything more than a depth body in 2011-12.
Ross has spent the past two seasons in the WHL, and figures to return to the Vancouver Giants of the WHL again this season. Phoenix's 2007 first round pick, Ross has put up decent offensive numbers from the blue line. Like most of Phoenix's organization, Ross is extremely young at 20 years old, and won't be a factor in Phoenix for a few more years.
