FantasyDraft NHL: Monday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

GOALIE

Nashville Predators, NAS vs. BOS ($16,000):Pekka Rinne has a 2.35 GAA and a .926 save percentage, both impressive numbers. Meanwhile, the Bruins have scored 2.71 goals per game, which is in the bottom 10 of the league. Boston is also 5-4-2 on the road, while Nashville is 10-2-1 at home.

CENTER

Sean Monahan, CGY vs. PHI ($13,800): Considering how the Flyers have struggled recently, it's probably not surprising they had a team GAA of 3.15 in November while allowing 34.1 shots on net per contest. They also now have the 28th-ranked penalty kill overall. Monahan has had at least 17 power-play points in his last three seasons, and he already has eight this year (including seven goals). This matchup is strongly in his favor.

Mathew Barzal, NYI at FLA ($11,900): Barzal has started 61.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone. This has helped the rookie tally 24 points in 25 games, including 10 in his last eight contests. The Panthers have a team GAA of 3.35 while allowing 35.8 shots on net per contest. Additionally, Florida has the second-worst penalty kill in the league, and Barzal has eight power-play points.

WING

Jakub Voracek, PHI at CGY ($13,600): Calgary has a team GAA of 3.19 and it has allowed 32.8 shots on net per contest. The Flames also have the 29th-ranked penalty kill. That bodes well for Voracek, who has 30 points and 94 shots on goal through 26 contests. He also has nine power-play points, and he's had at least 23 points with the extra man in his last four campaigns.

Josh Bailey, NYI at FLA ($11,900): Bailey has been dishing out assists like crazy. He has 25 helpers in 25 contests, and 13 of them have come on the power play (along with one power-play goal). As previously noted, the Panthers have the second worst penalty kill in the NHL. Bailey has 12 points in his last eight tilts, including seven with the extra man, and it wouldn't be surprising to see his hot streak continue Monday.

Nick Bjugstad, FLA vs. NYI ($7,200): New York has a team GAA of 3.24 and has allowed 32.4 shots on net per game. Bjugstad doesn't have a ton of points, but he has six goals on 73 shots in 26 contests. He's also currently the right wing on Florida's top line. In this matchup, it's worth taking a gamble on Bjugstad at this price, as he could easily pay off.

DEFENSEMEN

Nick Leddy, NYI at FLA ($12,200): Leddy has 21 points in 25 games, and in his last nine contests he has 11 points and 27 shots on goal. Given that the Panthers have given up 35.8 shots on net on average, Leddy should be able to add to that total. He also has averaged 3:43 on the power play and notched seven points with the extra man. Now he gets to square off with Florida's 30th-ranked penalty kill.

Shayne Gostisbehere, PHI at CGY ($10,700): Gostisbehere's offensive acumen is well established at this point. He's got 19 points in 23 games and has averaged 3:46 per game with the extra man (11 points). As noted earlier, the Flames have the 29th-ranked penalty kill, so Ghost is in a good spot despite the team having lost 10 in a row.
