FantasyDraft NHL: Tuesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

It's time to get back to business. The NHL is returning from the All-Star break, and there are 12 games on the slate to mark the occasion. Here are some players to consider for your daily fantasy lineup as we all get back in the swing of things.

GOALIE

Carolina Hurricanes, CAR vs. OTT ($15,100): The Senators are 6-12-4 on the road and have lost five in a row. Ottawa has also only managed 2.62 goals per game. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes have only allowed 29.2 shots on net per contest, which is actually the lowest in the NHL. Carolina's goaltending has struggled, but the opportunity is here for Cam Ward or Scott Darling to have a good game.

CENTER

Jack Eichel, BUF vs. NJD ($14,300): Lost in Buffalo's season to forget is the fact Eichel has been having a great year. The second overall pick in 2015 has 20 goals on 174 shots and 29 assists. He also has 14 points in his last eight contests. The Devils have a 2.96 team GAA and have allowed 32.0 shots on net on average.

Paul Stastny, STL vs. MON ($12,400): The Canadiens have a 3.14 team GAA, but on the road that number jumps up to 3.41, which is bottom-five in the NHL. Stastny has 10 points in his last 10 games, even though he has a 9.4 shooting percentage, which is well below his career average. He's also averaged 2:54 with the extra man, and Montreal has the 24th-ranked penalty kill.

WING

Joe Pavelski, SAN at PIT ($12,400): Speaking of unusually low shooting percentages, Pavelski's is a mere 7.9. The veteran winger has had at least 29 goals in his last five full seasons, so we know he can score. Pittsburgh has a team GAA of 2.98 and only a .902 team save percentage.

Jordan Eberle, NYI vs. FLA ($11,400): Eberle had three goals on 16 shots in four games before the All-Star break. Beyond that, in his last eight contests he has 10 points. The Panthers have a 3.30 team GAA, and they've given up a whopping 35.3 shots on net per tilt. That's the most in the NHL.

Evgenii Dadonov, FLA at NYI ($11,000): There's no better matchup in the NHL at the moment. The Islanders have a league-worst 3.58 team GAA and have allowed 34.7 shots on net per contest, as well. Dadonov missed some time with an injury, but in his last eight games he has eight points and 26 shots on goal. Also, the Russian has averaged 3:24 per game with the extra man, and he has nine power-play points. On top of everything else, New York has the 30th-ranked penalty kill.

DEFENSEMEN

Zach Werenski, CLM vs. MIN ($11,400): The Wild have really struggled on the road this year, where they have a 3.63 team GAA, which is tied for the worst in the NHL. Werenski already has 11 goals in 45 games. He also has 31 shots in 11 games since returning from injury.

Erik Johnson, COL at VAN ($10,700): Johnson has put 130 shots on target in 46 games, which is a nice total for a defenseman. The Canucks have allowed 32.0 shots on net per game. Vancouver also has a 3.18 team GAA. Johnson has five points in his last six games, kicking in 16 blocks during that time.
