FantasyDraft NHL: Thursday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

GOALIE

Minnesota Wild, MIN vs. ARI ($17,000): The Wild are a completely different team at home. On its own ice, Minnesota has an 18-4-4 record and a 2.08 team GAA. The Coyotes, meanwhile, have only scored 2.28 goals per game and are 6-16-6 on the road.

CENTER

Sean Monahan, CGY at NJD ($14,300): Monahan leads the Flames with 25 goals and has started a team-high 58.1 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone. The Devils have a 2.92 team GAA, and right now Cory Schneider is banged up and his return date is unclear. That means Keith Kinkaid (3.13 GAA, .893 save percentage) is likely to start.

Ryan O'Reilly, BUF vs. NYI ($11,000): It's the worst offense versus the worst defense! In his last 12 games, O'Reilly has 11 points and 39 shots on goal. The Islanders, on the other hand, have a 3.63 team GAA and have given up 35.6 shots on net per tilt, both of which are bottom of the barrel.

WING

Alexander Radulov, DAL at CHI ($14,800): Radulov has started 55.3 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second most on the Stars. That's worked out well for Dallas, as the Russian has 21 goals and 30 helpers in 54 games (which includes 15 power-play points). With Corey Crawford dealing with concussion issues, the Blackhawks have been stuck using two backup goalies. The better of the two has been Anton Forsberg, but he only has a 2.94 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

Jordan Eberle, NYI at BUF ($11,500): Things haven't been going Eberle's way all season, but he has four goals on 26 shots in his last eight tilts. Don't be surprised if Eberle finds some more luck in this matchup. The Sabres have a 3.28 team GAA, fourth worst in the NHL, and they've given up 32.6 shots on net per contest.

Alex Galchenyuk, MTL at PHI ($9,400): Galchenyuk has found a ton of success with the extra man this year. He's averaged 2:44 per game in power-play time, most in his career, and he has 15 power-play points already in 53 games. The Flyers are tied for having the second-worst penalty kill in the NHL.

DEFENSEMEN

Shayne Gostisbehere, PHI vs. MON ($11,800): Speaking of power-play success, Gostisbehere has averaged 3:53 with the extra man and has tallied 19 points in 49 games during that time. He's also notched four points in his last three contests. Montreal has the 23rd-ranked penalty kill and a 3.33 team GAA on the road.

Rasmus Ristolainen, BUF vs. NYI ($10,900): New York is tied for second-to-last in penalty-kill percentage. Ristolainen has averaged 3:33 with the extra man and has registered 11 power-play points in 44 games. Overall, he has 22 points, even though he has a career-low 2.8 shooting percentage. Perhaps he will have better luck in this matchup.
