FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Frederik Andersen, TOR vs OTT ($8,200): Andersen has 26 wins – good for fifth in the league – and draws a home start against the underachieving Senators. With a 7-14-4 road record, Ottawa averages 2.62 goals per game, which puts them 24th overall. At $8,200, Andersen looks to be in line for a victory and should only give up a goal or two.

Center

Nazem Kadri, TOR vs OTT ($5,600): Kadri comes into Saturday's matchup recording a point in six of his last seven while adding 19 shots on goal. The Sens have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to centers over the last four weeks, so the London, Ontario native should keep his production going. Ottawa also hasn't been able to stop anyone this season, allowing the second-most goals at 3.34 per contest.

Kyle Turris, NSH at MTL ($5,100): Turris averages 17:18 of ice time, with 2:29 of that coming on the power play. The 28-year old pivot has notched 31 points, with nearly half (15) earned on the man advantage. The Canadiens have recently struggled against centers by giving up the second-most fantasy points to the position over the last four weeks.

Wing

Patrick Maroon, EDM at SJ ($5,600): Maroon tallied his first goal in five games on Friday and is in line to repeat that feat Saturday as the Sharks have allowed the most fantasy points to left wingers over the last month. The big winger is back skating on the top line with Connor McDavid, which promises tremendous upside.

Yanni Gourde, TB vs LA ($5,200): Gourde has struck for goals in three straight contests, a point in four straight, and at least one point in eight of his last nine. Gourde has flourished in Tampa with 20 goals and 20 assists, including six power-play markers. The 26-year-old sets up as a prominent value for the Bolts, who are the highest scoring team in the league.

Clayton Keller, ARI vs PHI ($4,600): Keller busted out of the gate early in his rookie campaign, but has been inconsistent since. The 19-year old budding superstar has 37 points —including 15 goals — in 54 outings while averaging over 18 minutes with around three minutes on the power play. Keller will have the chance to score, as the Flyers have allowed 17 goals to right wingers over their last 12 games.

Defense

Justin Faulk, CAR vs COL ($4,700): Faulk has not had the year he's been accustomed to during his career, but a lot of that has to do with bad luck. The pride of St. Paul has tallied two assists over his last four games, with ten shots on goal. In Faulk's favor tonight is the fact the Avalanche have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to defensemen over the last month.

Oscar Klefbom, EDM at SJ ($5,100): Klefbom will have a tough time reaching his career high point total of 38, but he's shown some production of late with two assists, 16 shots on goal, and 10 blocked shots over his last four appearances. The Swede may be able to produce against a Sharks side that has given up the third-most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks.
