The NHL regular season is nearing a close, but it isn't over just yet. There are nine games on the docket Tuesday, and here are some of the daily fantasy values that I like the best.
GOALIE
Matt Murray, PIT at DET ($8,300): Murray has struggled this year, including since returning from his most-recent injury, but he has been excellent before this season. However, there are things in his favor in this matchup. The Red Wings are 1-9-0 in their last 10 games, and their offense has been woeful. They've only scored 2.41 goals per game and have managed a mere 29.4 shots on net per contest.
CENTER
Ryan Getzlaf, ANA at VAN ($7,500): Getzlaf has a four-game point streak, and he's tallied 19 points in his last 11 contests. Sure, he missed a couple games in there, but when he's been healthy he's been dominant. It's not hard to excel against the Canucks, as they have a 3.21 GAA. However, at home that number jumps to 3.47.
Nico Hischier, NJD vs. CAR ($5,300): The Devils have protected their rookie center, as he's started 61.0 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone. That's highest among New Jersey's forwards. It's paid off, as the first-overall pick has eight points and 25 shots in his last eight games. The Hurricanes have a 3.15 GAA, thanks largely to their .891 save percentage, and are on the second night of a back-to-back as well.
WING
Viktor Arvidsson, NAS vs. MIN ($6,900): Arvidsson has tallied 28 goals on 231 shots, and he's added 30 assists to boot. He's played well recently as well, notching 22 points in his last 20 games. The Wild have struggled on the road defensively, posting a 3.44 GAA away from home.
Jordan Eberle, NYI at OTT ($5,600): The Islanders and Senators have the two worst GAAs in the NHL, so expect a ton of goals in this one. Eberle has tallied 25 goals and 29 assists, and in his last five contests he's tallied 15 shots on goal. Ottawa has a 3.45 GAA, which has climbed slightly to 3.48 since the All-Star break. The Sens also have the 28th-ranked penalty kill.
Ryan Dzingel, OTT vs. NYI ($4,400): Dzingel has actually tallied 20 goals in 71 games this season, including four on the power-play. He's also notched five points in his last six contests. The Islanders have a woeful 3.60 GAA and have allowed a whopping 35.6 shots on net per game. Both are worst in the NHL. Anybody getting to go up against New York is at least a little bit intriguing for fantasy purposes.
DEFENSEMEN
John Klingberg, DAL vs. PHI ($5,800): Klingberg has notched a heart 61 points this season, including 54 assists. He's also averaged 3:43 per game with the extra man while tallying 23 power-play points. The Flyers have the 27th-ranked penalty kill, which bodes well for the Swedish defenseman. On top of that, in March they have a 3.69 GAA.
Ryan Pulock, NYI at OTT ($4,400): Pulock has been on fire recently, as he's notched eight points and 31 shots on goal in his last seven games. Don't be surprised if that torrid play continues against the Senators. Ottawa has a 3.45 GAA, and in March that number is up to 3.50. On top of that, at home their GAA rises all the way to 3.61.
