FanDuel NHL: Saturday Playoff Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Saturday Playoff Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

April is almost over, but the second round of the NHL playoffs is just getting started! There are two games Saturday, and here are some daily fantasy lineup recommendations.

GOALIE

Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK vs. SAN ($8,900): Fleury has been truly outstanding in the playoffs, posting a nearly pristine 0.54 goals-against average and .982 save percentage. This comes after posting a 2.24 GAA and .927 save percentage during the regular season. Vegas also thrived in their own arena, sporting a 2.49 home GAA.

CENTER

Brayden Point, TAM vs. BOS ($6,500): Point notched three points in the first round, with nine points in his final 11 regular season games. It was a fine conclusion to a strong campaign, where he notched 32 goals and 34 assists. Tuukka Rask had a .917 save percentage during the regular season, which is unspectacular, and that number dropped in the first round to a disappointing .899.

Erik Haula, VGK vs. SAN ($5,800): Haula tallied two points in the first game of the series, which is in line with his production for the year. He potted 29 goals in 76 appearances, including 12 on the power play. The Sharks allowed a whopping seven goals in the opener, and Martin Jones got pulled. It was only one game, but with only two contests on the slate, that little bit can still mean something.

WING

James Neal, VGK vs. SAN ($7,400): Neal started 55.6 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest among Vegas forwards. Since returning from injury, Neal has 55 shots in 17 games. He's also tallied four points in his last four. Martin Jones posted a .915 save percentage during the regular season, which is lowest of every projected Saturday starter.

Jake DeBrusk, BOS at TAM ($4,700): DeBrusk had a strong first round, managing at least one point in six games, with seven in total. He also started 70 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone during the year, highest on the Bruins. After the All-Star break, the Lightning slumped to a 3.36 GAA and allowed 34.1 shots on net per contest. They fared better in the first round, but the Bruins are tougher than the Devils, and they still gave up 34.2 shots on goal per game.

Alex Killorn, TAM vs. BOS ($4,500): Killorn notched 15 goals and 42 points during the regular season, and picked it up a bit in the first round. The 28-year-old racked up five points, four of them coming on the power play. It's not a total fluke, either, as he averaged 4:14 per game with the extra man against the Devils. And as previously noted, Tuukka Rask had an .899 save percentage in the first round.

DEFENSEMEN

Torey Krug, BOS at TOR ($6,100): Krug excelled during the first round, grabbing nine points and 26 shots on net. He was also a power-play force this season, racking up 24 points with the extra man. That could bode well for him in this series, as the Lightning possessed the league's 27th-ranked penalty kill this season.

Mikhail Sergachev, TAM vs. BOS ($4,000): Sergachev started 70.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest on the Lightning. He chipped in offensively this season with 40 points, including 16 on the power play. Though his minutes were limited in the first round, he received more than three minutes of power-play time in his last two games. That could still lead him to offensive, and fantasy, success.
