Adorante repaired a hernia in his back and is expected to return in October, Trivenetegogoal reported.

Adorante tried to push through the problem early in the summer, but the discomfort wasn't going away. He's set to miss a couple of months, so he won't be available for the early rounds. He led the frontline in Serie B last season, but Venezia have already signed two established strikers, Akor Adams and Albion Rrahmani, to handle the role, in addition to John Yeboah.
