PITCHER
Zack Greinke, ARI vs. SD ($11,100): Perhaps partly as a result of the pressure of living up to the colossal contract he inked in the offseason, Greinke got his D-backs career off to a rough start. However, he's begun to resemble the dominant pitcher of past seasons, scoring 24.7, 24.8 and 30.4 fantasy points in three of the last four starts. He also had 21.8 and 26.8 fantasy points in two other trips to the mound and now draws a matchup against a Padres team that's posted the lowest wOBA (.266) and batting average (.218) against right-handed pitching, and the fourth-highest strikeout rate (24.6 percent) this season.
Michael Pineda, NYY at TB ($8,500): Pineda undeniably carries some risk, which makes him an interesting tournament play. However, both his recent performances and the matchup put him under consideration. Pineda has impressively rung up 22 strikeouts over the last 16.2 innings, while the Rays sport the AL's highest strikeout rate versus right-handed pitching (26.3 percent). While Tampa did hammer Pineda in their previous meeting against him on April 24, the hard-throwing right-hander certainly carries the upside to provide a nice return at what will likely be low ownership.
CATCHER
Jonathan Lucroy, MIL vs. CIN ($4,300): Lucroy has punished Reds starter Alfredo Simon over his career, slashing .583/.643/1.167 over 12 at-bats with two homers and three RBI. He's also posted a .394 wOBA versus righties this season and has hit five of his seven homers off them as well. Meanwhile, Simon has been blasted by right-handed hitters to the tune of a .417 wOBA and 7.02 FIP.
FIRST BASE
Dae-Ho Lee, SEA vs. MIN ($2,900): Lee is still going largely under-owned, yet the Korean slugger brings considerable upside. He's posted a .405 wOBA, 50 percent hard contact rate and .375 ISO versus right-handed pitching over an admittedly modest 25-plate appearances, but he displayed his long-ball pedigree during his overseas career. He draws the home-run prone Phil Hughes, who's surrendered a .331 wOBA, 40.2 percent hard contact rate and eight of his nine homers this year to right-handed hitters.
SECOND BASE
Daniel Murphy, WAS vs. STL ($4,800): Murphy has proven to be prudent selection all season, and a career .500/.533/.786 line over 14 at-bats against Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright only serves to sweeten the pot. Murphy's video game-like numbers versus right-handed pitching this season include a .461 wOBA and 43.6 percent hard contact rate, and he's most recently flashed his considerable ceiling by scoring 19 and 25 fantasy points in two contests over his last 10. Meanwhile, Wainwright hasn't exactly been stellar against lefty bats, yielding a .342 wOBA to them this season.
Derek Dietrich, MIA at ATL ($3,300): Dietrich has both second and third base eligibility for those wishing to save some salary. He's managed a .387 wOBA and 34.7 hard contact rate against righties, while Braves starter Aaron Blair has given up a massive .432 wOBA to lefty bats.
THIRD BASE
Eduardo Nunez, MIN at SEA ($3,100): Nunez is enjoying a career season, now hitting .317 after another two-hit effort Friday versus the Mariners. He's in the leadoff spot as well and draws a matchup against Wade Miley, who's given up another five homers this month, bringing his season total to nine over 56 innings. Eight of those homers have been surrendered to right-handed bats, along with a .339 wOBA and 4.71 FIP.
SHORTSTOP
Zack Cozart, CIN at MIL ($3,400): Cozart is in the midst of an 0-for-11 slump over his last three games, but he remains in the leadoff spot and draws a tantalizing matchup against Brewers starter Chase Anderson. He's enjoyed some success over a limited five at-bat sample against Anderson, tallying two hits, including a double. More encouraging is the fact that Anderson has surrendered a .402 wOBA, seven homers, 5.51 FIP and 40 percent hard contact to right-handed hitters this season, while Cozart has a .337 wOBA and 35.1 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching, and he has the added advantage of playing the game in hitter-friendly Miller Park.
OUTFIELD
Seth Smith, SEA vs. MIN ($3,500): Smith always presents as a nice value bat against right-handed pitchers, as he's tallied a .349 wOBA against them this season. Twins starter Phil Hughes is one of his favorite to target, as he's generated a .353/.421/.588 line against him over 17 at-bats, with a double, homer, two RBI and two walks. Hughes has been even more vulnerable to left-handed bats than to righties, as he's surrendered a .375 wOBA and 34 percent hard contact rate to them over a 61-batter sample.
George Springer, HOU at LAA ($4,500): Springer has been swinging a hot bat and will see Jered Weaver's slow-as-molasses fastball Saturday. He's already enjoyed some success against the veteran right-hander in his career, slashing .333/.385/.583 against Weaver over 12 at-bats, including a homer and two RBI. He's far from the only righty that Springer torments, as he's posted a .369 wOBA, .227 ISO and 34.5 percent hard contact rate against that handedness this season. Weaver has given up a .373 wOBA and 39.6 percent hard contact rate to right-handed hitters as well, furthering Springer's appeal.
Jose Bautista, TOR vs. BOS ($4,300): The Blue Jays slugger figures to come in locked and loaded off his one-game suspension, and he draws one of his favorite matchups in the form of Red Sox starter Rick Porcello. Bautista has gone 13-for-30 over his career against Porcello, with three homers, nine RBI and six walks. He's also been thriving from the leadoff spot, a move up that has naturally increased his fantasy appeal. Meanwhile, right-handed hitters have been Porcello's undoing this season, as he's surrendered a .343 wOBA and 32.4 percent hard contact rate to righty bats, while Bautista owns a .379 wOBA, .277 ISO and 41.5 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching.
