The Miami Heat defeated the host Boston Celtics, 111-101, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First-Round Playoffs at TD Garden on Wednesday evening. The game got out to a competitive start as the Heat held a one-point lead after one quarter. The score stayed close through the second and after a couple of lead changes, the Celtics carried a three-point lead into the break. The visitors turned up their play in the third and outscored the Celtics by nine points in the quarter to claim a six-point lead heading into the final frame. The Heat stayed in control through the fourth and pushed their way to the finish, closing out the road win and tying the series at, 1-1. Tyler Herro led the Heat with 24 points, five rebounds, 14 assists and a steal, in 39 minutes. Bam Adebayo totaled 21 points, 10 rebounds and two assists, while Caleb Martin delivered 21 points, two rebounds and a steal. Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 33 points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block, in 37 minutes. Jayson Tatum followed up with 28 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a block, while Derrick White added 13 points, four assists, a steal and a block. Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday in Miami.
