Timberwolves Looking For First Home Win
The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals at Target Center on Thursday evening.

The Timberwolves came up clutch to pull off a, 105-100, road win in Game 4. They jumped out to a strong start in the game and led by seven points after one quarter. The Mavs turned up their play in the second and rallied to tie the score at 49, heading into the break. The hosts grabbed the edge early in the third, but the Timberwolves closed the quarter on an 8-4 run to take a five-point advantage into the final frame. The Mavs kept it close in the fourth, but the Timberwolves outperformed down the stretch to hold on for the critical win. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, in 40 minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns followed up with 25 points and five rebounds, while Rudy Gobert totaled 13 points, 10 rebounds and a block. Meanwhile, Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 28 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists and a steal, in 41 minutes. Kyrie Irving followed up with 16 points, two rebounds, four assists and a steal, while Daniel Gafford finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, a steal and three blocks.

The Timberwolves must come up with another top-notch performance in order to avoid elimination for a second time. They finished with a 30-11 home record during the regular season, but already lost Games 1 and 2 versus the Mavericks at home.

Mike Conley (Achilles) played through the injury tag last game but remains listed as questionable for action for the Timberwolves. Luka Doncic (knee) remains listed as questionable for the Mavs but will likely continue to push through. Dereck Lively (neck) missed the last game and is listed as questionable for Game 5.
