Mavs Look to Close Out T'Wolves in WCF on Tuesday
The Dallas Mavericks play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals at American Airlines Center on Tuesday.

Dallas leads this series, 3-0. No team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit in NBA history.

The Timberwolves (0-3) shocked the NBA world by getting to this point but it feels like the dream is about to end. Minnesota has made history to get here, but they're going to have to be the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-0 deficit. Over 150 teams have been unsuccessful with that endeavor, but Minnesota has shocked fans all season long. Their defense has been the thing that's gotten them to this point, but they allowed Dallas to shoot 56 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range in the Game 3 defeat. That sort of defense won't get it done, and it'll be interesting to see how this young team comes out in multiple elimination games.

The Mavericks (3-0) were disappointing through the first half of the season, but some midseason trades changed everything for this team. They had one of the best records in the NBA after the trade deadline, thanks to Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington. Those acquisitions have helped them get to this point, sitting just one win shy of reaching the NBA Finals. No one picked the Mavs at the beginning of the postseason, but it's silly to count out a team that has Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Those guys have scored over 50 points combined in all three games of this series. There aren't many backcourts in NBA history that have been as dynamic as these two, and just five more wins will allow them to create some history for Dallas.

If there is a Game 5, it will be in Minnesota on Thursday.
