Clippers Extend Winning Streak, Top Mavericks In Thriller
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 110-107, at American Airlines Center on Tuesday night.

The Clippers (31-13) and the Mavericks (27-16) have been two of the best teams in the Western Conference this season and even though there were high expectations ahead of this matchup, these two teams didn't disappoint and delivered a contest that was only decided in the final seconds of the final quarter. The first quarter ended tied at 24, but the Clippers pulled away in the second 12 minutes of action as a 36-25 score gave them an 11-point lead heading into the half-time break. The Mavericks won the third quarter (29-22) and the fourth quarter (29-28), but it wasn't enough. Dallas had chances to even things up with a three-pointer from Tim Hardaway Jr. and two missed free throws from Luka Doncic, but they couldn't take advantage of their chances. Kawhi Leonard sealed the deal with two late attempts from the charity stripe, and the Clippers ended winning deservedly since they executed better down the stretch. With the win, Los Angeles moved to 12-9 away from home while the Mavericks fell to 13-11 at home.

Kawhi Leonard led the way for the Clippers since he ended with 36 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two assists. Landry Shamet chipped in with 18 points while making five of eight three-point attempts, and Lou Williams added 16 points in 32 minutes off the bench despite shooting just 5-19 from the field. Montrezl Harrell had 12 points and nine rebounds coming off the bench.

Luka Doncic led the way for Dallas and he came short of a triple-double since he finished with 36 points, 10 boards and nine assists. Kristaps Porzingis had 10 points and nine rebounds despite shooting 4-17 from the field. Bojan Marjanovic had 12 points and seven boards in 16 minutes, while Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in with 13 points. Dwight Powell had one point in nine minutes before suffering an Achilles injury.
