Warriors Defeat Celtics in Game 3, 107-88, Even Series at 1-1
The Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting Boston Celtics, 107-88, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals at Chase Center on Sunday.

This series is now tied 1-1. Game 3 will be played in Boston on Wednesday.

While there were six ties and eight lead changes in the first half, Golden State never relinquished the lead in the second half, thanks to a 35-14 third quarter. They actually went on a 25-2 run spanning between the third and fourth quarters to take a game-high 29-point lead. The Warriors shot 45 percent from the field while holding the Celtics below 38 percent shooting. In addition, Golden State recorded 15 steals, winning the turnover battle, 18-12. They also outscored the Celtics in the paint, 40-24.

The Celtics (1-1) were led by Jayson Tatum, tallying 28 points, six rebounds and three assists. Jaylen Brown amassed 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. The other three starters scored just two points apiece. Derrick White led the bench with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks. No other bench player had more than six points.

The Warriors (1-1) were led by Stephen Curry, collecting 29 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Kevon Looney compiled 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals. Klay Thompson shot 4-of-19 to finish with 11 points and three boards. Draymond Green had nine points, five rebounds and seven assists, while Jordan Poole led the bench with 17 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals.
