T'Wolves Defeat Nuggets in Game 1, 106-99
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Denver Nuggets, 106-99, in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals at Ball Arena on Saturday.

Minnesota leads this series, 1-0.

This game was tied 84-84, but Minnesota ripped off an 18-7 run to take control of this game. That completed a 66-55 second half for the Timberwolves, maintaining the lead for 15 of the final 16 minutes. There were 10 ties and six lead changes in total. Minnesota shot 52 percent from the field while holding Denver below 47 percent shooting. The Timberwolves out-rebounded the Nuggets, 47-39, while out-blocking them, 6-2. They also outscored them in the paint, 52-42.

The Timberwolves (1-0) were led by Anthony Edwards, accruing 43 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 20 points, four rebounds and three assists. Mike Conley collected 14 points, four rebounds and 10 assists, while Rudy Gobert generated six points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Naz Reid led the bench with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists.

The Nuggets (0-1) were led by Nikola Jokic, finishing with 32 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and three steals. Michael Porter Jr provided 20 points, six rebounds and three steals. Jamal Murray amassed 17 points and four assists, while Aaron Gordon had nine points, three rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Game 2 will be in Denver on Monday.
