Denzel Mims
Wide ReceiverWR
Baylor Bears
2018 Fantasy Outlook
Mims was one of the lone bright spots for Baylor in 2017 with 61 grabs for 1,087 yards and eight touchdowns on 118 targets. At 6-foot-3, 207 pounds, Mims is a physically dominant wideout who moves extremely well for his size. He's got great ball tracking ability, which is a critical skill in a Baylor offense that likes pushing the ball down the field. Mims' target volume will be near the top, and his per-target efficiency (9.2 YPT) is excellent. Mims' standing as the No.1 option in one of the country's most pass-heavy offenses make him a top fantasy asset. Read Past Outlooks
Six catches in Texas Bowl
WRBaylor
December 28, 2018
Mims reeled in six catches for 95 yards in Thursday's win over Vanderbilt in the Texas Bowl.
ANALYSIS
Mims ends the year with 55 catches for 794 yards and eight touchdowns which was down from 61 catches for 1,087 yards and eight touchdowns in his sophomore season. His production saw a dip as teammate Jalen Hurd flourished with 69 catches for 946 yards and seven total touchdowns. The physical wide-out likely has a future in the NFL, however, if he does decide to come back for his senior season, he'll be one of the top targets in a productive Baylor offense next year as Hurd will be lost to graduation.
