Past Fantasy Outlooks
2005
2004
2003
Reynolds is likely to retire, rather than attempt to rebound from injury. He had lost quite a bit of velocity on his fastball even before he was diagnosed with an arm injury last year, so a comeback would certainly be a long shot.
Although Reynolds won 11 games last season, the prodigious Braves offense disguised an otherwise awful year. He's striking out fewer batters while walking more and giving up too many home runs. After two poor seasons, we doubt he'll be able to keep a job in the big leagues this year.
Reynolds is trying to come back from his second severe back injury in three seasons. The odds are against him that he'll be successful.
