Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
The final Cleveland recipient of the, "You win a free trip to Dr. Andrews in Birmingham," contest, Wohlers will head to camp under a minor league deal. If he can prove he's healthy, he should return to the Tribe's pen as a set-up man and mentor to the Indians' kiddie corps.
The blips on the radar are there and showing up ever so slightly. Wohlers doubled his IP in 2002 (35.7 to 71.3) and pitched very effectively after the All-Star break. Wohlers, still just 32 years old, tossed 39 innings in the second half, posting a 2.54 ERA and 1.09 WHIP, holding the opposition to a .210 BA. He will be manager Eric Wedge's setup man to get to Danys Baez and may actually get a few vulture saves mixed in as well.
