Peterson was reassigned to minor-league camp on Monday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Peterson received an invitation to big-league camp when he signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers in January, but he was never likely to break camp with the team. The 31-year-old spent the entirety of 2018 in Triple-A and is likely to do the same again this season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2016
2015
2014
Peterson didn't play with the Brewers until June, but he took advantage of his chance once it arrived. When the Brewers were plagued with outfield injuries, Peterson filled in nicely, posting a .324 OBP thanks to an 8.9 percent walk rate. He struck out more than the Brewers would have probably liked (55 times in 225 plate appearances), but his ability to get on base and man the outfield well kept him in the lineup once Carlos Gomez was traded midseason. Peterson's role with the Brewers is uncertain headed into 2016, but the most likely bet is that he will serve as a bench outfielder.
Peterson spent another full season at Triple-A Sacramento and had a much better one than in 2013. Even though his power did not change, he raised his batting average from .251 in 2013 to .308 in 2014. He has never showed a lot of power in the minors with 12 home runs being his highest total in 2013. Peterson does have a bit of speed, but he has never topped 20 steals in a season. He does not appear to have a shot at a job in the A's outfield and would need injuries to get to the majors, but even there, he would likely not provide any significant fantasy value.
Peterson is a former second-round pick of the Cardinals who has toiled in the minors for six seasons and has only seen the majors for a quick two-game stint in 2013. Peterson spent 2013 in Triple-A Sacramento where he hit .251 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases. The power and speed numbers were both career highs for Peterson, but he has not shown the pop that teams want out of a corner outfielder or a first baseman. Peterson does possess a solid on-base percentage due to a high number of walks and could be a nice fit as a fourth outfielder who can play a few times a week and get on base at a solid clip.
