ANALYSIS
Smith is having a hard time adjusting to Triple-A. In the minors this year (GCL Braves and Double-A Mississippi) he had a combined K:BB of 46:20 with one home run in 56 innings. He gives up a lot of non-ground contact (last year, too), however, which is not a good sign for long-term success as the bigger, stronger, older guys will take the high stuff deep. Going into this game, his K:BB was 15:17 at Triple-A. But he is young (23), big (6'5"/250) and lefty, so he will get more chances to turn things around.
