Rest-of-Season Projections
Re-signed by Washington
Ross inked a minor-league deal with the Nationals on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Ross started the season at Triple-A Syracuse, but after accruing a 6.40 ERA across 77.1 innings, he was demoted to Double-A Harrisburg. The right-hander didn't pitch particularly well at either level, and will likely stay in the Nationals' minor-league system next year.

2015 Fantasy Outlook
Although old for his level at virtually every stop in the minors, Ross has consistently posted respectable ERAs and WHIPs in his four professional seasons, most recently going 12-6 with a 2.80 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 28 appearances (23 starts) between High-A Lynchburg and Double-A Mississippi as a 24-year-old in 2014. His numbers improved upon his promotion to Mississippi, with a 2.08 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over 78 innings, but Ross doesn't have overpowering stuff (career 6.8 K/9), nor does he have the ability to keep the ball on the ground (1.15 GO/AO), and he benefited from a .241 BABIP at Double-A. In a Braves system that is suddenly starved for pitching depth, Ross has value, but he's not much of a prospect for fantasy purposes.
