Past Fantasy Outlooks
2006
2004
2003
Jackson appeared at six defensive positions for the Padres this past season (second base, third base, shortstop and all three outfield spots) and stole 15 bases in 17 attempts, adds a little versatility and speed to the Nats' roster.
Jackson will serve as a utility player, backing up at second and short. He picked up several stolen bases as a pinch-runner in Boston, and could be valuable in deep leagues.
In the right situation, he could steal 20-30 bases, which in part makes up for the fact that he'll hit .245 or so. The biggest problem here is that most teams realize Jackson isn't really good enough to play every day, so finding more than 250-300 at-bats won't be easy.
