Past Fantasy Outlooks
2008
2004
2003
After 10 long seasons in the minors, Haynes finally made his debut in 2007. He saw action in 40 games with the Angels but only received 45 at-bats. At Triple-A, Haynes batted .386 and his OPS stood at a Guerrero-like 1.040 at season's end. Haynes has good speed and has proven that he can hit righties, but it will be difficult for him to find a regular spot on the roster. Still, he's proven all he can in the minors and should get a chance in spring training to earn a spot on the Angels bench.
Haynes is unlikely to get a shot at the major leagues this season. It's difficult to predict what his future is with the organization as they seem committed to their three outfielders, and Haynes doesn't possess the upside to force the issue.
Spent 2002 in the minors and that is likely where he will spend the 2003 season until September or unless there is an injury. But he is a fantasy candidate a couple years down the road.
