PITCHER
Clayton Kershaw, LAD vs. KC ($25,200): Kershaw, the highest-priced option on Sunday's slate, has posted double-digit strikeouts in three of his past four starts while allowing zero runs over that span. Kansas City has improved over the past month, but they still have a weak spot against left-handed pitchers, rankings in the lower half of the league against them.
Trevor Cahill, SD at PHI ($15,300): Cahill looked good in his return from the DL, but he only managed 4.1 innings while throwing 85 pitches. The good news is that he has a nice matchup Sunday and shouldn't need much more than 85 pitches to get through six innings against the Phillies, who enter with the second-lowest wOBA and the sixth-highest K% against righties this season.
INFIELD
Miguel Sano, MN vs. BAL ($8,700):Ubaldo Jimenez surprised everyone two starts back when he shut down the Blue Jays, however, he got back to his usual ways in his most recent start by allowing five runs in five innings to the Brewers. He's in another tough spot Sunday, as the Twins have hit righties well this season, including Sano, who enters with .373 wOBA against them this season.
Jean Segura, SEA vs. OAK ($9,600):Daniel Gossett is having trouble with teams the second time around this season, and while this will be the first time Seattle sees him, the Mariners are sure to have the book on him after five starts in the bigs. Meanwhile, Segura has the second-highest wOBA against right-handed hitters on the team this season.
Jose Abreu, CHW at COL ($8,800): The White Sox finally get a crack at a lefty at Coors Field, and no one is happier than Abreu, who leads the White Sox with a .477 wOBA against them this season, a top-10 mark in the majors. Kyle Freeland takes the hill for the Rockies after allowing at least four runs in each of his past three starts.
OUTFIELD
Max Kepler, MN vs. BAL ($9,300): As mentioned earlier, with Jimenez on the mound for the O's, the Twins are one of the better stacking options. Meanwhile, Kepler, who has scored double-digit fantasy points in four of his last six starts (all against righties), comes in with a .375 wOBA against right-handed pitching this year.
Brandon Drury, AZ vs. CIN ($7,600): After two horrendous starts, Homer Bailey righted the ship in his most recent outing against the Rockies, but it will take more than that to start fading players against him. There are a few Diamondbacks worth considering, including Drury, who comes in with a .375 wOBA against righties this season and is one of the more affordable options in the lineup.
Andrew McCutchen, PIT at CHC ($9,300): McCutchen has been on a tear over the past month, and though this doesn't appear to be a great matchup against a tough lefty in Jon Lester, McCutchen's numbers against lefties this year are tough to ignore. He enters with a .480 wOBA against left-handed pitching this season, which is sixth-best in the majors, while Lester has a 3.94 ERA this year.
UTILITY
Adrian Beltre, TEX vs. LAA ($8,400):JC Ramirez enters with a 4.73 ERA after allowing at least four runs in three of his past four starts. Meanwhile, Beltre has a team-high .377 wOBA against righties this season.
Justin Smoak, TOR vs. HOU ($8,700):Brad Peacock has pitched well this season, but considering his career numbers, I have to wonder if it's all smoke and mirrors. He's begun to show cracks over his past couple starts and that trend should continue as he faces a solid Toronto lineup. Smoak has been a surprise this season, leading the Blue Jays with 23 home runs and a .368 wOBA against righties this season.
