Celtics Play Host to Heat on Monday
The Miami Heat travel to Beantown to play the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Monday.

The Heat (38-38) come into this matchup winning 11 of their last 16 games, as that has them in the playoffs for the time being. With that said, Miami is just half-a-game up on the Orlando Magic in ninth and both these clubs are leaving it all on the floor right now. The Brooklyn Nets are just one game up of Orlando too in seventh, so it's anyone's to have at this point. The return of Goran Dragic is the direct correlation to this positive stretch. He's added a dynamic that this team has been missing all season, as they've been in desperate need of a playmaker and a ball-handler. Dwyane Wade has done all he can to make up for that and he's truly having a magical season in his farewell campaign.

The Celtics (45-32) come into this matchup losing five of their last seven games and no one can really figure out what's going on with this team. Finishing fourth in the east is a nice accomplishment but it's simply not good enough for a team with this sort of talent. What's strange is the fact that so many players have struggled this season. Players like Gordon Hayward, Terry Rozier and Jaylen Brown have actually been worse this season and they need more from that bench if they want to get anywhere in the postseason. Even with the recent struggles, this team is one of the favorites to get through the east, as any team can be beaten in that conference. Resting players like Kyrie Irving and Al Horford will hopefully help them achieve that goal because that definitely hasn't helped their losing ways either.

This is the third of four meetings between these teams, with the home team prevailing in each of the first two outings.
