Clippers and Celtics Battle in Beantown
The Los Angeles Clippers take on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Thursday night.

The Clippers (37-17) enter Thursday's game in the midst of another strong stretch of play, as they've forged a 6-3 record over their last nine games. However, their most recent time on the court resulted in one of those losses, as they dropped a 110-103 decision to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 30 points, complementing them with nine assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Landry Shamet followed with 19 points. Marcus Morris and Lou Williams posted matching 13-point tallies, with Morris adding five rebounds and Williams dishing out six assists. Paul George contributed an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included five assists. Montrezl Harrell furnished 10 points, six boards and one assist.

The Clippers will remain without Patrick Beverley (groin) for Thursday's game.

The Celtics (37-16) have been in even better form than their opponent recently, as they just saw a seven-game winning streak snapped courtesy of the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. Gordon Hayward led the Celtics in the 116-105 defeat with 20 points, adding eight rebounds, six assists and one block. Jaylen Brown provided 19 points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Jayson Tatum checked in with 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block. Kemba Walker went for 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal. Daniel Theis and Brad Wanamaker posted matching 11-point tallies, with Theis also posting nine rebounds.

The Celtics will list Brown (calf) as probable for Thursday's game, while Robert Williams (hip) is likely to remain out.

Thursday's game marks the second and final meeting between the teams this season. The Clippers hold a 1-0 series lead, having notched a 107-104 overtime victory Nov. 20.
