Grizzlies Defeat Nuggets, 106-97
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Denver Nuggets, 106-97, at FedEx Forum on Monday.

While there were six ties and nine lead changes in this game, Memphis led for all but a few minutes. A 22-15 third quarter really decided things for the Grizzlies, leading by at least seven points for the entirety of the fourth quarter. Memphis shot 13-of-34 from the three-point line while holding Denver to 9-of-38. In addition, the Grizzlies out-rebounded the Nuggets, 55-40. That allowed Memphis to outscore Denver in the paint, 58-40, while doubling them up in second-chance points, 14-7.

The Nuggets (4-3) were led by Nikola Jokic and his 23 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four blocks. Aaron Gordon amassed 15 points and 10 rebounds. Monte Morris accrued 11 points and six assists while Michael Porter Jr finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Will Barton missed seven of his eight shots to generate four points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Grizzlies (4-3) were led by Ja Morant, collecting 26 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Tyus Jones led the bench with 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Desmond Bane tallied 11 points, six rebounds and two assists. Kyle Anderson also provided nine points, nine rebounds and three assists off the bench as well.

These teams have a rematch on Wednesday for their next outing.
